Abstract:

The paper presents results of computer simulation of steel flow in the six-strand tundish. The tundish was equipped with a under flux controller of turbulence. Authors used technique of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) for showing influence different variants of controllers on field of steel flow and curves of RTD (Residence Time Distribution). The research was performed for three variants of modification internal geometry of under flux controller of turbulence.
